WHO'S going into the South African jungle this weekend for I'm A Celebrity?
After two successful seasons, Channel 10 should have no trouble finding celebs willing to live rough and get up close and personal with all manner of creepy crawlies while the nation watches on.
Hosts Chris Brown and Julia Morris are sworn to secrecy, but that doesn't stop the rest of us from speculating.
Here are my tips for this year's celebrities:
US sitcom star
David Spade is a good fit. He's not big enough to demand millions to appear on the show but he is the star of several popular US sitcoms (most recently Rules of Engagement). He got his big break in Saturday Night Live and has a long filmography. I doubt Charlie Sheen would volunteer for a jungle detox.
It seems like too much to expect Kyle Sandilands to step away from his popular KISS show during ratings season to go on I'm A Celebrity. Steve Price keeps denying he's going into the jungle on The Project, but he seems an easy in-house choice for Ten.
Jason Akermanis is a reality TV producer's dream. Like last year's winner Brendan Fevola, he was a much-loved athlete in his hey day but after a few too many controversies he could use with an image overhaul. He fits the clue of a 'straight-talking Brownlow Medallist'.
Hayley Lewis is my pick for this one. While plenty of athletes have represented Australia at three Olympics, she has gone on to success in the business world with a gift and homewares store in Brisbane and hosted The Biggest Loser for Channel 10.
Famous Australian actor
The clue for this person is so vague it could be a range of actors. My best guesses are John Jarratt, whose Wolf Creek character Mick Taylor is certainly memorable, or The Castle's Michael Caton. Plus in the promo Julia Morris says 'frights, camera, action', perhaps a hint at Wolf Creek?
After Laurina Fleure's success last year, fellow Bachelor 'villain' Keira Maguire is a shoo-in. Ten's clue refers to a 'blonde firecracker' and Keira fits that description.
Samantha Jade is the front-runner for this category. She has a voice big enough to be considered a diva, has had two Top 10 hit songs and starred in Seven's soap Home and Away. Delta Goodrem also fits the clue well, but I think she will stay loyal to The Voice and Channel 9. Toni Pearen could be a dark horse.
Funny man Matt Okine is everyone's top tip for this clue, thanks to his recent departure from Triple J's morning radio show, but I'm going out on a limb and picking his predecessor Tom Ballard. He was a stand-out on the recent series of First Contact.
My best guess is Kate Ceberano. She rose to fame in her late teens with her band I'm Talking, has won three ARIA Awards and published her memoir I'm Talking: My Life, My Words, My Music in 2014.
I tip Erin McNaught, who was Miss Universe 2006. She was on Dancing with the Stars and was a presenter for MTV. Renae Ayris is another candidate, if she's willing to back up her recent outing on First Contact.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! premieres on Sunday at 7pm on Channel 10.
