They like to selfie selfie: Cute lemurs cuddle the camera

THESE curious ring-tailed lemurs are schemers - Poppy, Dominique and Fleur were captivated by the camera and weren't afraid to investigate.

The wide-eyed little natives of Madagascar, described as looking like a cat crossed with a squirrel and dog, had a grand time experimenting with the camera of The Courier-Mail photographer Lachie Millard.

Residents of Wildlife HQ zoo at Woombye on the Sunshine Coast, they were fascinated by the noise of the shutter and the light of the lens and even managed to snap a few selfies.

Regal and poised, they are much gentler than many of their primate relatives, and happy to get up close and personal as they snack on their favourite treats - greens, fruit and vegetables.
