MS DHONI is a modern great. He's achieved more than most cricketers will ever dream of, particularly in the 50-over format.
So it seems only fitting he add to his list of achievements by notching 200 ODI sixes. And, on Thursday night (AEST), he reached the milestone.
But it almost never happened thanks to a piece of modern technology.
On 93 and eyeing his 10th ODI century, Dhoni smashed a full-toss to the square leg boundary that should have sailed deep into the crowd.
But the ball collected spidercam on the way through, cleaning up the camera and falling to the ground, to be called a dead ball under the ICC laws.
It didn't worry Dhoni too much, who annihilated the very next ball over long-on to reach 200 ODI sixes.
He went on to post 134 from 122 balls and, along with teammate Yuvraj Singh (150 from 127), guide India to victory over England.
